In sophisticated buildings or high-quality designs functionality and the design of stairs and railings play an important role. Especially at places that are vital to the image such as entries of office buildings, public (government) buildings or in the inner space there is room for 'spatial works of art'.
Stairs and railings of steel and glass are particularly suited to make curved, transparent or expressive designs. Steel is available in various (standard) profiles, which are very suited for bending, welding, cutting or other treatments. Sheet iron materials are available in many perforations, types of metal and colours. And glass is available in a whole range of different colours, thicknesses and types, is fitted in many different ways and can be cold-bended.
Glass stairs, elevators, railings and walls supplied by BRS are very suited for public buildings or spaces from a security perspective. Buildings remain conveniently arranged and transparent, while at the same time separating walls or stairs fulfil their function.
BRS especially aims at stairs of steel and glass that are vital to the image, in which other materials, such as natural stone, perforated steel or wood may be incorporated. For us standard means made-to-measure and made-to-measure is standard!
Examples of stairs and railings on our website are the building for the Meetkundige Dienst (Geometrical Department) in Delft and the Raad voor de Rechtspraak (Council for the Adminstration of the Law) in The Hague.
